On the last Sunday of every month we celebrate communion.
There is some confusion on this subject. Some would say the first church was simply eating together, and this is all Luke is talking about.
We believe that they were actually doing both. Many believe the church at Jerusalem borrowed their communion style from the Passover feast.
This makes sense, especially when considering that Jesus and the disciples were at a Passover Seder when He instituted communion.
The Passover is a combination of ceremony and meal. We believe the early Christians most likely followed the same pattern.
